Brownie Bite Kisses
Brownies are probably way up there on my list of all-time favorite desserts. One thing I love about brownies is how versatile they are. You can make all kinds of variations, and even just plain old brownies are always a hit. This recipe is a brownie bite made in a mini muffin pan topped with a Hershey kiss and dusted with powdered sugar. So basically, chocolate on chocolate which is a winning combo for all my fellow chocoholics out there.
2/3 cup butter
1-1/4 cups sugar
1 Tablespoon water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt (omit this if you are using salted butter)
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
48 Hershey kisses for on top of brownie bites
powdered sugar for dusting tops of the bites
Beat butter, sugar, water & vanilla until well incorporated. Add eggs mix well. In a separate bowl stir together flour, cocoa, salt & baking soda. Slowly add to sugar mixture, and mix until well blended.
Refrigerate dough for at least 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 350° F. Line a mini muffin pan with paper liners. Roll chilled dough into 1-inch balls.
Bake 11-12 minutes. They will appear soft when taking them out of the oven. Be careful not to over-bake.
Cool on a wire rack 3-5 minutes dust each with powdered sugar. Then place a Hershey kiss in the center of each.
