Herb de Provence Vinaigrette

IMG_5374

I have stated this before, but I will state it again, in case you missed it the first time – I LOVE HOMEMADE SALAD DRESSINGS!!!!  They are so simple to prepare, and you have the added benefit of being able to pronounce everything that has gone into it.  Bottled pre made  salad dressings just taste so processed and chemically to my taste buds, that I swear no joke my tongue recoils at the mere idea of it in my mouth.  Give making homemade salad dressings a try, and I guarantee you will never want to go back to the bottled stuff.  Your taste buds will rejoice too!

Ingredients:                   Yield: 1 cup vinaigrette

2/3 cups olive oil

6 tablespoons white wine vinegar

2-3 tablespoons honey

1 teaspoon herb de provence seasoning

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder or 1 garlic clove, minced

salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

In a mason jar or a container you can fit with a tight fitting lid – place all the ingredients as listed, and shake vigorously.

Serve over your favorite salad greens, and enjoy!

See now wasn’t that simple.
