Hot Fudge Sauce


“I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream”…right? Well I have rarely met an ice cream I did not like. But somehow I always find myself drawn back to the classic hot fudge sundae. This recipe is one of the ones I use for a quick and easy hot fudge sauce – it’s rich, smooth, fudgy & gooey. It is great refrigerated and reheated. I often make it on Friday’s for our family’s pizza, ice cream sundae and movie/game nights. Hope you enjoy it as much as we have.


1/2 cup sugar

1 1/2 cups evaporated milk

2 tablespoons of butter

2 tablespoons light corn syrup

2 cups good quality semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla


In a heavy duty medium-sized saucepan – combine the sugar, evaporated milk, butter & corn syrup.

Cook over medium-high heat stirring constantly bringing the mixture to a boil.

Once boiling, reduce heat to low.

Stirring constantly for 3 minutes.

Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips and vanilla.
