Smokey Sriracha Salt
Paul and Veronica are slightly obsessed with a Spicy Chili Sauce found on most Asian restaurant tables. The red bottle with it’s bright green cap has found it’s way onto our own dinner table and seems to be squirted on everything that holds still long enough. If you haven’t had Sriracha (or as we like to call it “Hot Cock Sauce”) and like things to have a certain kick, you should give it a whirl. If you are as obsessed as my two crazies (they even have matching Sriracha Shirts) you should try this recipe….. or if you have someone who you know loves the stuff this make a great, quick, gourmet gift! (Did I mention this is ridiculously easy?!)
1 Cup of Kosher Salt
2/3 cup Sriracha
1 dash of Liquid Smoke
(Yep, that’s it.)
1. In a bowl combine all ingredients and stir to combine.
2. Spread your salt out on a rimmed cookie sheet, and stash it somewhere dry for a couple of days, stirring once a day to keep things evenly drying.
3. Package in a bag, jar, gift container, salt box, something dry that will hold your Salt.
4. Do a dance of how easy that was, while enjoying a spicy seasoned treat!
